About Ondas

Ondas builds the drones and the anti-drone systems that modern militaries and security teams increasingly rely on. Think of it as a one-stop shop for autonomous defense: drones that scout and strike, systems that detect and shoot down enemy drones, and the software that ties it all together. Most of its sales come from defense and homeland security customers around the world.

The case for and against

Both sides of the story, in plain English.

Bull case
  • Explosive Growth

Revenue is growing at a pace that is hard to believe. In the first quarter of 2026, Ondas brought in 50 million dollars, more than ten times what it made a year earlier. Management raised its full-year target to at least 390 million dollars, which would be roughly 670 percent growth over last year.

  • Loaded War Chest

Ondas is sitting on about 1.48 billion dollars in cash and investments, giving it real staying power while it grows. Its order backlog jumped to 457 million dollars from just 68 million at the end of 2025, so there is strong visibility into future sales. It also holds a position in a 982 million dollar U.S. Army loitering munitions program.

Bear case
  • Burning Cash

This is not a profitable company yet. In the first quarter it lost about 43 million dollars from actual operations, and management does not expect company-wide profitability until early 2028. Until then, the business is spending far more than it earns.

  • Risky And Diluting

The stock is extremely volatile and roughly a third of its shares are sold short by people betting it will fall. Ondas is also buying companies at a rapid pace and printing new shares to fund it, with shares outstanding rising from 381 million to 469 million in a single quarter, which chips away at each owner's slice.
