About Americas Gold and Silver
Americas Gold and Silver is a North American silver miner that digs precious metals out of the ground from two main operations: the Galena Complex in Idaho and the Cosala mines in Mexico. Think of it as a leveraged bet on the price of silver. When silver climbs, a small producer like this can move a whole lot faster than the metal itself.
The case for and against
Both sides of the story, in plain English.
- Silver On Fire
Silver and gold are sitting near record highs, and that flows straight to a focused miner like this one. Silver production in the third quarter of 2025 hit 765,000 ounces, almost double the year before, and revenue grew about 37 percent year over year to 30.6 million dollars. The stock has been on a tear, up roughly 200 percent in six months.
- Building Real Scale
The company just bought the Crescent silver mine, located only 9 miles from its flagship Galena Complex in Idaho. The plan is to feed that high grade ore straight into mills it already owns, which is one of the cheapest ways to grow output. Legendary mining investor Eric Sprott is the largest shareholder with about a 20 percent stake.
- Still Losing Money
Growing production is one thing, turning a profit is another. Net margins are negative 36 percent and the company posted a net loss of about 49.7 million dollars over the first nine months of 2025. Until those mines start making money, this is a story about potential, not results.
- Dilution Risk
This is a small company with a tight balance sheet and a long history of selling new shares to raise cash, which shrinks each existing owner's slice of the pie. Management has said it may need more funding to finish its growth plans. And because the whole business rides on the silver price, a pullback in metals would hit it hard.
